An epic legend about the destructive power of sexual jealousy--told by one of music's best storytellers. George Frideric Handel's stirring musical drama about an ill-fated hero, his suspicious wife, and a beautiful prisoner unfolds in sumptuous arias and rousing choruses. Featuring Phyllis Pancella as Dejanira and Stephen Morscheck as Hercules, as well as the Music of the Baroque Chorus and Orchestra under the baton of Nicholas Kraemer. Concerts take place Sunday, September 21 at 7:30pm at First United Methodist Church, 1630 Hinman Ave., Evanston, and Monday, September 22 at 7:30pm at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park.
