Chicago Chamber Orchestra opens its 57th season with Dieter Kober, who holds the record for the longest tenure in the world as music director of a professional orchestra, conducting. The program includes Bach’s fourth Brandenburg Concerto, Giuseppi Tartini’s Violin Concerto in D minor, Frank Abbinanti’s Ostalgie, and a continuation of the ensemble’s Haydn cycle with his Symphony No.70 in D major.

Johannes Brahms took Vienna by storm with his captivating G Minor Piano Quartet – as likely to bring audiences to their feet today as at its premiere. Considered the greatest prodigy after Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn wrote his piano sextet at 15, and Arnold Cooke’s charming quintet counts among the legacy inspired by the remarkable 20th century English hornist Dennis Brain.

Orion Ensemble - One of Chicago’s “most vibrant, versatile and distinctive
ensembles” Orion is currently resident ensemble at the Chicago College
of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and celebrating 15 years of
presenting exciting and lively chamber music programs both locally and
nationally. They perform the Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano in
E-Flat Major, Op. 44 by the French composer Louise Farrenc and Peter
